  1. Yeah, the poor landlords, the leeches of society, we should feel bad that they are not able to profiteer as much with rent-stabilized apartments. They choose to keep them empty to lower supply and increase rent everywhere while exacerbating a homeless problem that the taxpayers will have to deal with cause nobody can afford to live anymore. Most apartments are owned by big corporations now and every 2008 or 2020 they seize the opportunity to buy up your life and rent it back to you at a huge markup so they can pay billions to the executives and shareholders or else your on the street.
