@Brianjgardner2000 If it's a "god given right" then why did nobody have firearms when Jesus died? or for over a thousand years after his death and the writing of the bible?

@Gimme_Stitches When the founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment ar-15's and extended magazines didn't exist. So you're "right'" is based on the imagination of a future prediction of a man 250 years ago that guns wouldn't ever change and that nukes wouldn't exist? It's one thing to have a hunting rifle or handgun but this combat ready call of duty shit is unnecessary and should be illegal.

@Justin-rm6su So you are saying we should not take any unregistered weapons away from crazies because it could result in shootouts with authorities? This is more extreme than even the republicans that I've heard. PS. Nobody said to take away handguns. Instead of strawmanning you are like ...idk... airmanning? @asimdeyaf maybe if we had healthcare then we wouldn't have so many people with substance abuse issues..... oh wait. your against that too aren't you. Besides, alcohol is used for fun, not specifically to kill people. (besides, banning it worked out great before) Guns are literally only used to kill. Totally different scenario buddy. Are you suggesting we ban detergent as well since kids have eaten tide pods? (I'm also referring to babies that die cause of eating detergent). You're "free for all" ideas are bad. Letting people have anything just because you assume they should be responsible with it is dumb. Otherwise we would allow citizens to have nuclear warheads, or any bombs, cause why not right? It's my right to bare arms and bombs are also classified as "arms", hence the "arms race". If they decide to kill people with them then we will put them in jail after the fact if they are still alive.

@deesnutz42069 "Draconian gun control measures" like what? not having ridiculously overpowered weapons for no reason? What about the "draconian measures" to keep nukes out of the hands of North Korea? Or do you think we should give them some of our extra supply to be fair and equal? You point might make some amount of sense if there were any reason to own ridiculously high powered and high magazine capacity guns.... but there aren't any, especially that a sane person would use. The only thing I've heard is that people need them to defend themselves. (Against what? A parachute-style land invasion from the ruskies?(Red Dawn?)) Or people argue that they need to be able to rise up against the government. Which is just stupid because it doesn't matter how much firepower you have you ain't gunna win. Our military has drone bombs and all of the area 51 stuff you've never even heard of. You are NOT going to win that fight. And even if you did kill all current politicians, new ones would just take their place based on promises to corporations. Cause without jobs and progress we got nothing. Long story short. You got no reason to have ar-15s, extended mags, bombs, nukes, etc. All they do is give crazies more fire power to kill people trying to buy groceries.
