  3.  @David_Lo_Pan  I don't think I can contribute as many resources as you, but on the economics side somebody I really listen to is a guy named Michael Pettis. Ironically he's a professor at Peking University but is quite critical of the economic policy of the regime. I can't figure out how he's managed to be so outspoken and still hold a prestigious position there. But yeah anyways, he's really opened my eyes to how the economy in China is unbalanced and is likely headed for Japan-esque (or worse) stagnation in the coming years.
