Yes there are cases where it's legal, is your google broken? Yugoslavia didn't exist in 1999 and NATO operation there was to stop a genocide being conducted by the Serbs. We understand you don't have problems with genocide though and promote it.

@KwameAmedzo What happened to those who lived in the area? The local kind sold the area to the Swedes and once it was captured, offered it to Swedes again. So 400 years ago, Swedes bought some land from a local king, stayed there about 10 years and then left. One needs to be truly desperate to try to invoke that nothing burger as some type of example of mistreatment.

@Donello The claim to continue automatic membership was rejected in the UN and it was deemed that SFRY had ceased to exist. Perhaps FRY existed as an entity, but certainly one should at least say "Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" instead of just Yugoslavia if one is in fact referring to that later entity and not the former socialist republic most people think is what is being talked about when using the label "Yugoslavia".

@Donello When people (including me) use the term Yugoslavia they typically refer to SFR as in the socialist federal republic of Yugoslavia that seized to exist and not FR that was not recognized as it's successor and wasn't even accepted in UN as far as I remember.

@stif617 And why Donbas doesn't have the same rights? They do, but they never actually voted to become independent in any real referendums. There real support in that area for independence was less than 25% and has always been that way, they actually had a referendum about it when the Soviet Union collapsed, why do you not mention that? Only area in Ukraine where ethnic Russians were a majority is Crimea and even there the majority has never been actually for independence or joining Russia.
