@suportbghelp4938 Much more free speech in Ukraine compared to Russia where journalists and political opposition are getting terminated by the state.

@vulgarisopinio They all (including Ukraine) have had fair elections (unlike in Russia) where no pro Russian candidates have won for ages. Support for Nato is very high in the Eastern european countries as they all know it's the guarantee of their independence.
19
@КонстантинСаченко-о3й What is happening in Ukraine is that freedom of speech and other freedoms are getting better as the country is moving more towards western values and Putin can't tolerate seeing Ukraine choosing the west over Russia.
14
@vulgarisopinio They don't protest against vaccines, because they are for them and not antivaxxing flat earthers.
13
@vulgarisopinio There was no coup in 2014 but a popular uprising. This is proven by the very fact that no pro Russian candidate has since won in fair and independently monitored elections in Ukraine. The only place where there was a coup was in Crimea, where Russians occupied the place using the false referendum results as an excuse.

Nobody that has half a brain thinks Nato is a threat to Russia, Nato countries would not want to have Russia even if we got it free without a fight. Only purpose of Nato is to stop Russia from attack, almost nobody in the west has any interest in invading that gas station called Russia.
9
@vulgarisopinio They don't protest because 90% are behind the government, I know because I live here and nobody supports the protests except a tiny minority of butter nutters.

Russian demands are everything but not reasonable, it's not Russia's business who joins Nato and who doesn't or do you wish Russia also tell your country what it can do?
4
@Oregon123 "Russia has elections every four years." Yep Belarus has elections too, do you think it means Lukashenko is the crowd favorite for 30 years too? And You think I'm the dumb one 🤣🤦♂️😂🤦♂️🤣
4
@madisondines7441 They have the weapons to do it, but no interest in doing so. The tanks are not ready at the front lines, but they exist as do the over 5000 combat airplanes, 13 aircraft carriers, 3.5 million active troops etc. etc.
4
@_qw3rtyXxYz_ So why did you omit: "In Kyiv-controlled Donbas, a strong majority thinks that the separatist regions should be returned to Ukraine without any special consideration of autonomy. Just a small number consider alternative options of independence for the separatist entities or joining Russia." From the same article? You only mention a tiny minority?
4
@_qw3rtyXxYz_ And the Crimea refendum was obviously a joke: official results 97.5% to join when 40% there were ethnic Ukrainians and Tatars. Do you expect anyone take it seriously?
3
Is it Nato provocation that occupied parts of Ukraine against the will of the people? Ah now I remember, that was Russians not Nato.
2
@surendramumgai631 Kind of simple: if the people like the pro Russian candidates more, they will win elections. You heard about this new thing called democracy? Sorry I asked, I understand now you are from Russia and have no understanding of how elections are supposed to work.
2
@igorseprak6177 Sure you are.

@natinatu3860 bs. It's not 1960 anymore, if Mexico wants to join Russia it can do so anytime it likes.
1
@kevionrogers2605 Nope, US would not lift a finger to stop that, it's not 1960's anymore.
1
ea Prove it.
1
@darkocvetkovic Yes, I don't think US would try stop Mexico form doing whatever it likes and even joining Russia if it wants to. US retaliation doesn't depend on some georaphical distance of enemy missiles, the subs are there to retaliate so it doesn't really matter if the nukes are placed in Mexico or Russia half a planet away. Russia has placed missiles in Kaliningrad already, right at the doorstep of Poland, Germany and Europe so if you wish to talk about missile placement, start with that.

@danutahanyga4834 tnx for admitting that Russia has no respect for anyone including itself. Budapest agreement was violated by Russia and Lavrov lied that Russia would not attack Ukraine, he said it just a few days before it happened. "M.G.: The topic of “NATO expansion” was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years. I say this with full responsibility. Not a singe Eastern European country raised the issue, not even after the Warsaw Pact ceased to exist in 1991. Western leaders didn’t bring it up, either." That is Gorbachev on NATO expansion: no promise you lie about was ever made.
1
@danutahanyga4834 no paper signed with CCCP or Russia was ever worth more than toilet paper because on Russian side they are always signed by liars like you. The Budapest agreement was worth nothing because Russia was one of the signatories and the same goes for the Minsk agreement: Russia never intended to follow those agreements.

@elliekwong3180 Do you think CIA pays people to argue with you butter nutters online? 😂
1
@Jerald6940 Neo-Nazism 🤦♂️😂 Look at how people and for example minorities are treated in your country and especially in regions like Checnya. if Nazism is going to come from somwhere it's definitely coming first from your country than the west.
1
@thephoenix756 False, even countries like France or UK alone could take on Russia. Together European countries are more than cabable enough on taking on Russia even without US help. European GDP is about 18 trillion compared to Russia's tiny 1.5 trillion, in any longer conflict Europe would simply outproduce Russia and win in the long run. "also, war with Russia would automatically turn nuclear because Russia will not accept being occupied by the West" Nobody in the west would even want to occupy that dump called Russia even if you offered it to us but if Russia wishes to commit suicide and use nukes for some reason, it\s their choice and certainly most life will end in that country after such a choice.

@_qw3rtyXxYz_ The "respondents" means people from Russia sent there and locals paid of and given Russian citizenship. You also forgot to mention from same article: "Survey evidence from 2019 showed majority support in the DNR/LNR for remaining part of Ukraine." Your sauce and lies are weak.

@elliekwong3180 You have nothing to contribute anywhere. Come back when you graduate 4th grade.
