  1. "by not having a bidirectional communication". How does anyone still assume the device was as intended in that sense? They also didn't expect them to be capable of exploding yet they did. Having a transmitter also planted in the circuits isn't such a stretch understanding that is obviously what Israel would like to do in case they had access to the devices. I bet they were capturing every message one way or the other.
