It's not as simple as just getting a few solar panels. Show us some math on how many million panels would be needed, what is the cost and where could they be placed before tellng us it's simple.

@SonnyDarvish What do your solar panels have to do with a desalination plant that could require milions of panels?

All I found was that there are some test labs using solar panels to power the process but didn't see anywhere written that the whole power consupmtion of the plantes was provided by solar panels.

@mithim99 Not all of the globe is capitalist yet, places like North-Korea, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Eritrea, Cuba and Vietnam are either heavilly socialist leaning or outright socialist. And what would pollution increasing have to do with the relative comparison between socialism and capitalism? If there was more socialism, there would be more pollution than there is now. I have personally seen places that are much better now pollution wise compared to before. For example many places in the Baltic states that were part of CCCP before.
