  1. Citizens don't have the right to secede from a politically supported government. That's been a rule for like hundreds of years.

But the government, and the people supporting the government have the right to keep that population and that land under their control. America did break free from britian, but we also prevented the south from doing the same. Mexico broke free from Spain, yet tried to stop texas from leaving it. Those are just two examples of hundreds of cases in history. The Ukrainians aren't bad, and the pro-Russians aren't bad! They are both just fighting for their right over the land. Though I do support the Ukrainian government because I'm American and hate the Russians.
