@DraftDodgerDon yup it was the high grocery prices . they blame the democrats when the reality was every country printed money during covid which caused huge inflation . we recovered better than any country but trump did a great job convincing his supporters that inflation was still 10% or whatever and his policies didn't have inflation. and gas is now about 3 bucks a gallon when he was president it was about 2.25 - 2.50. so every week people get reminded .

@kirkthiets2771 the eu doesn't want to send any troops. that could be political suicide for them. the attitude is we will help out but not the real help.

fun fact if elon takes a govt job and has to sell his holdings to do that he is exempt from paying capital gains tax on that because he took the govt job. so being a texas resident texas has no capital gains tax either. so he could cash in and save billions in capital gains tax. he may get sued by california but who knows. there may be an exemption because of the govt job.

obama didn't want to do anything in 2014 and basically did very little. imposed a few sanctions. that as it. by rights when russia broke the agreement ukraine should have demanded to get their nukes back. actually they should have never given them up or made nato membership a condition of giving up the nukes.

i think a more plausible scenario is trump cutting off aid and washing his hands of the whole thing and blaming zelensky . he has been complaining about the money for years now so i don't see him changing course on that . and his supporters will go along with that no problem.
