Why hasn't Merrick Garland and his DOJ not yet arrested and charged Trump, Jeffery Clark, Mark Meadows, and any other accomplices for their involvement in federal election interference and sedition??? WTF? How much more evidence is needed?

Toxic Trump and Republicans are traitors to America. They've been gaslighting Trump's Russian collusion and election fraud for years, and continue doing so. Trump should have been impeached and convicted after the Mueller Report, which didn't happen only because of A.G. Barr and Republicans, who were ultimately responsible for that failure. Then Congressional Republicans refused to impeach despite overwhelming evidence of Trump's Ukraine shakedown. The worst was the third time Republicans refused to impeach Trump after he incited a terrorist insurrection against his own government on the nation's Capitol. Republicans refused to even have a BIPARTISAN commission to investigate January 6. Moreover, throughout Trump's term and even after, Republicans have been KNOWINGLY spreading Russian propaganda designed to weaken America, kill Americans. So, when is Merrick Garland and the DOJ going to step up and hold Trump and his Republican accomplices accountable for their many FEDERAL crimes, or is Garland going to set the terrible, horrific precedent that a former President is a King and above the law? Just when America most needed a strong and courageous AG at the DOJ, we instead got a cowardly enabler in Merrick Garland.

"What happened on January 6 is the very definition of sedition." ~ Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson
Why has Traitor Trump not been charged yet by the DOJ? That's what a lot of people are wondering! Not just prosecution of Trump, but all his accomplices, too! Obstruction charges outlined in the Mueller Report, the Ukraine extortion racket, inciting an insurrection, sedition, and federal election interference. The evidence is all in plain sight, where are the indictments, the arrests? Our democracy hangs in the balance; this is no time to play nice, there is no time to waste! The DOJ shouldn't be worried about appearances, either, because it's a matter of impartially enforcing the law and not setting bad precedent that encourages future lawlessness and authoritarianism by the Executive Branch. And because justice matters.

For five long years, the American people, Lady Justice, and Constitution have all been crying out for accountability, pleading, "Until this moment, Republicans, I think I have never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness. ...You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"
Insane stuff from an insane man, that describes Traitor Trump to a "T." What it constitutes is an attempted coup and an insurrection. So, why hasn't Trump and his accomplices been arrested for those and all his other crimes, yet? Why is Merrick Garland and his DOJ failing to do their duty? If Trump is not prosecuted, it sets a terrible precedent enabling the next wannabe authoritarian President. This is no time for playing nice.
Expect these documents from the National Security Archives to produce even more incriminating evidence of Traitor Trump's autogolpe. Also expect the House Select Committee to pass them on to the DOJ, along with a referral for criminal charges against Trump and his accomplices. Merrick Garland MUST prosecute Trump for his many crimes, or our justice system and democracy will be destroyed.

The problem is really with Merrick Garland and the DOJ. Some Democrats in Congress have filed a civil suit against Trump for January 6. Democrats will refer a complaint for criminal contempt against Bannon to the DOJ, which is the correct route to go. If DOJ declines to prosecute, then Democrats will have to go the inherent contempt route, because taking the civil contempt route would take too long in the courts. But that shouldn't be necessary; the DOJ needs to enforce criminal contempt of Congress. Democrats brought two impeachments against Trump, and put forth an excellent case for conviction in both instances. It was Republicans who refused to hold him accountable, not Democrats.
But Democrats aren't responsible for prosecuting Trump and his cronies for their many crimes, the AG and DOJ is. While I understand to some extent Garland's reluctance, because Republicans are going to play victim and accuse the DOJ of being political, a label he doesn't want the DOJ to have under his watch, that is not sufficient excuse for not prosecuting criminals. Being apolitical means the DOJ going after those who break the law, regardless if they are politicians or politically connected, regardless of political affiliation. I understand also why Democrats are treading carefully, because while they may not be abusing their power to get to the bottom of January 6, Republicans have a history of abusing their power to go after their political opponents.
I don't think Democrats are necessarily being too soft, but I do think they need to be harder and there needs to be more urgency. Subpoenas should have been issued months ago, knowing that Trump and his minions would stall and try to run out the clock. I do fault Manchin and Sinema for not getting on board with other Democrats on Biden's agenda, because they are sinking Democrats chances for retaining majorities in the House and Senate. That urgency by the Democrats needs to extend to voting rights, eliminating or reforming the filibuster, expanding the Supreme Court, and passing legislation to protect women's reproductive health rights. If Democrats don't deliver for the American people and protect the franchise, they will be ceding power to Republicans, with likely disastrous results for our democracy and country.
Insofar as Biden nominated Garland to be AG, I don't think he picked him because he wanted to give Trump a pass. Like Obama and all good Presidents, Biden takes a hands-off approach when it comes to the DOJ. But I do think Garland is turning out to have been a poor choice to head the DOJ. Just when we most needed a strong and courageous AG, we got one who is weak and timid instead. Trump should have already been indicted and arrested: as Individual One by the SDNY Federal prosecutor; for the obstruction of justice counts laid out in the Mueller Report; for his Ukraine shakedown laid out in his first impeachment; for inciting sedition outlined in his second impeachment; and for the Federal crime of election interference, which is also being investigated and potentially prosecuted under state law in Fulton County, Georgia.
