Who'd have ever equated voting in America with survival? But that's pretty much what it has boiled down to, hasn't it? Survival of ourselves, survival of our democracy, survival of our nation, and survival of our planet. The irony is that Republicans have always tried to paint Democrats as an existential threat...but in doing so it is actually they who have become exactly that.
Democrat voters need an even greater turnout in '22 and '24, put the final fork in Trumpism! Republicans want to engage in Jim Crow voter suppression laws, voter intimidation, and egregious gerrymandering? Republicans want to engage in corruption, gaslight their corruption, coverup their corruption? Republicans want to turn a blind eye to Russian election interference and knowingly disseminate Russian propaganda for Putin? Republicans want to instigate and sanction Reich-wing domestic terrorist insurrection? Republicans want to live in delusion and denial about the major problems confronting the nation and planet? Let's just prove that's fuel for the fire, and make their fascist antidemocratic corruption backfire on them!

@immortalasirpa8117 ~ When grammar becomes more important than the substance, then maybe our democracy really is doomed. Moreover, is this comment critiquing grammar not itself using sloppy or incorrect grammar? The comment sentence does not constitute a compound predicate (although, in some cases, use of a comma in a compound predicate is proper), yet lacks a comma. Ironic, and kind of hypocritical, too, isn't it? Reminiscent of the old adage, "Remove the plank from thine own eye before removing the splinter from mine." Looking at many of the other replies here to this comment, there is little regard for proper grammar evidenced within them, either.
Unfortunately, grammar errors in titles and chyrons are all too common. The people hired to do them are probably often under time constraints and in a hurry, so it is somewhat understandable. From long experience, the people who are usually complaining about trivial details like this are those who seek to distract from the content and/or to discredit reputable media for ignoble purpose. That should also be of more concern than any rather obvious grammar mistakes, particularly where the intended meaning is not confused and still clearly understood despite the oversight.
