Yes, it should be reported, but media focusing so very much time on when Congress "officially" declares impeachment to the detriment of what's really important, and at the same time ignoring and consistently neglecting to shine the spotlight on Congressional Republicans with even the same (or the deservedly more) scrutiny, is absurdly ridiculous! Media is not helping matters; this is misleading to the public about the real priorities, and helps feed Trump's false narrative.
Declaring impeachment is not some magic wand, it isn't going to change anything appreciably; the investigations, subpoenas, and court battles will continue, regardless. I favor Congress making that declaration, but also trust where this whole process is going and where it will lead.
No one wants this to be political, but the political component is integral to the process, and that needs to be recognized. It is already recognized that Dems will vote for impeachment, that Republican partisanship is the impediment. The media putting Congressional Democrats--a number of whom represent swing districts--on the spot accomplishes nothing other than providing cover for Trump, Barr, and Congressional Republicans. Something one could expect from Fox news, not more objective sources that ought to know better.
