The disease creating the Republican cult existed long before, and will likely persist for some time after. Republican cult morons rail against the very "elite" they keep voting for, who give tax cuts to the rich and have created the greatest income inequality and wealth disparity in American history. Why? They are driven by the divisive fear and bigotry programmed into them 24/7 by the Reich-wing media and propaganda owned or funded by the plutocracy. It's absolutely Orwellian, and it began around 1984 in America. What is witnessed now is just the rotten results from the poisoned tree bearing fruition. It's the disease killing America that existed long before COVID-19, and which is likely to persist long after. Republican cult going to believe what the Republican cult wants to believe, whatever the truth, whatever proof, whatever anybody says. "Healing" the country means deprogramming the 30-40% of Americans deep in cultdom. That needs to be recognized, acknowledged, and acted upon if we truly wish to revive the patient, America, and restore it to glory.
