Corporations want to pay low, and then once someone with better pay comes, they wonder why nobody is coming to work a lowly servant job when they earn a cheeseburger an hour from their own store... imagine working for 1 hamburger of pay per hour. That is what these fast food places pay after tax on your food and rent, and fuel, that is what these people earn. 1 hamburger of profit.

  2. The company charges about 6 to 8 for a meal, 10 with a drink usually. That is what the person making gets in 1 hour plus they remove tax for cost of living rents and fuel cost, so in the end... they are making less than a meal an hour. Think about that, you work all day for 8 burritos from the company, while you push out 80 burritos.
