Comments by "Ancient Man" (@ancietman) on "Farmer says people 'CAN'T BE BOTHERED' as UK loses more than £60m crops due to labour shortages" video.
I live in rural Lincolnshire I have seen many reports on TV about crops rotting in the fields. I have never actually seen crops rotting in the fields or any actual pictures on TV or in the papers. Wouldn't the remoaner MSM be showing pictures 24/7 if rotting crops in fields was a reality?.

I lived in a small village in Lincolnshire during the 60s. There was far more acres of fruit grown in our village back in the 60s because farmers made good money out of fruit like strawberries and raspberries, after we went in the Common Market these types of fresh fruit were available most of the year the prices went down and the farms in our village switched to other crops. We did not have EU migrants back then mostly teenagers like me picked the fruit in school holidays.

@martynas2194 I never had a problem with any migrants coming to Britain to pick fruit it was the fact one fruit picker could come in from the EU bring 4 or 5 family, stay for life, all wanting a house, benefits if needed and to use our already stretched services like the NHS. A permit system that allowed them in for the duration of the season then they went home would be fine.

You might be on to something, at the moment illegals sit about all day in hotels if they knew coming to Britain would mean hard labour some of them might think twice about coming to Britain.

I expect thats why the government turn a blind eye to the illegals. All the farms and businesses moaning there is a shortage of workers prepared to work for low pay on zero hours contracts since we left the EU
