  1. I remember when I was growing up in the 60s myself, parents & sister would visit a market town about 12 miles away to visit my gran. It would mean walking through town dark winter nights after the visit & waiting about on the bus station but we never bothered or got any trouble. I wouldn't dream of even going into town after dark now or waiting about on dark bus stops.
