The reason Boris got a hard time and now Truss is remoaners in parliament including many Tories will not be happy until they get a remoaner PM that wants closer ties with the EU and longer term rejoin. It will be done by the back door because most of the public have moved on we did not get big benefits ( yet ) from Brexit but leaving did not cause the big problems predicted by remoaners either. My point most people noticed no change in their life one way or the other so they would not rush to vote remain if there was another referendum.
