  1. The problem is if you ask people about the dying high street they say its sad and a disgrace then if you ask where do you buy your goods most of them say online. Shops would be there if customers still used them.

  2.  @hazelt9953  I read Russia and Ukraine combined supply 20% of the worlds wheat which obviously means flour and animal feed. Ukraine will have no crop this year because they are fighting a war rather than sow crops and Russia are hardly likely to sell wheat to Britain after the help Britain have been giving Ukraine.

  3. We all know the problems facing the high street but planners have not helped most towns and cities have big shopping centres on the outskirts of town. I'm a similar age to Eamonn I remember going along the high street with my parents all the shops had window displays sometimes we would walk around town on Sundays just looking at the window displays now all you see is empty streets with shop after shop with metal shutters.
