Comments by "NickTheEnlightened" (@NickTheEnlightened) on "BREAKING NEWS: Kamala Harris Reportedly Chooses Tim Walz as Running Mate" video.
Walz's entire record is shit. You could even argue he's the WORST governor in the entire country. Even if you're not a politically astute person, the very fact that he's who Bernie Sanders wanted should tell the average American everything you need to know about him. Trump needs to hammer that fact home repeatedly!

LOL, an absolute joke of a pick! We're gonna have a field day running endless ads of Minnesota (and the rest of the country for that matter) burning in 2020!
56
If you're making a pick to save a state that SHOULD already be blue, you're already screwed!
43
How so? I highly doubt Walz is gonna be a Judas to the left the way Pence was to us.
34
@lennysaptho9541 If Trump is smart he'll run ads repeatedly reminding voters of it anyway.
23
@fakeplaystore7991 Minnesota is a Democrat state to begin with and Walz still did significantly worse in his re-election bid than he did in 2018 (and yes I know 2018 was a much more Dem friendly environment, but even still losing like half of your support from the last election as an incumbent is pathetic).
15
LMAO, Walz is a buffoon. Vance will easily crush him in a debate.
10
@JeffreyJordan-gw9vt He's certainly up there too. But Walz has done just as if not even more damage to MN and he only has a one seat majority.
9
I think he got lucky in 2022 as well, faced a bad Republican opponent and was one of many recipients of the Dobbs effect. Walz I'm sure at least would've had a massive scare otherwise if not for those two factors.
7
She and Biden were both struggling in the state, though I think Kamala still has always been a favorite in it. Regardless though, if she feels she had to pick Walz JUST to save the state, it's clear she knows she's in a lot more trouble than the MSM wants you to believe.
7
@AntiWarTexan If you truly believe that, get motivated to stop Kamala/Walz even more.
5
@SignificanceOfThePassageOfTime Like I said, Newsom is also one of the worst, but it's hard to get past the fact that Walz has passed some of the most egregious far left nonsense in the country in a state that, whilst liberal, if far less Dem leaning than CA.
5
But leftists will point out that he won a rural district bigly in two blue wave years, therefore rural America nationwide in 2024 CLEARLY loves him!!! (Sarcasm of course for those who can't grasp it)
4
1972 when Richard Nixon won every state sans Massachusetts (though I believe even then Minnesota was the second most pro McGovern state). Even so, if she needs Walz just to win that state, it's clear she's in trouble LOL
4
@rangodenalo6185 Tampons, the trans stuff, changing the flag, I could go on and on and on. Not to mention him LITERALLY saying he's far left!
4
Not really. If Trump still wins NV, AZ, GA, WI and possibly PA he still has it in the bag. MN has never voted Republican since 1976 anyway. It's not like losing it would be a major shock or doom us.
3
@rangodenalo6185 Yeah, and then he flipped on guns once he became governor. It's clear he merely pretended to like the 2nd Amendment because he knew that doing so would make it easier for him to get elected governor, and then just like Kirsten Gillibrand he flipped a switch instantly.
3
@surobyk More people than you'd think. Maybe not enough to sway an election but certainly enough to help expose how foolish a candidate is. Biden's June 27th debate literally ended his career with how bad it was LOL
3
Mark Kelly had a lot of baggage too though and also would've easily been exposed as a grifter. BeShear was the only person on her shortlist who, despite not really adding anything to the ticket, I don't think would've significantly hurt her either.
3
Laura Loomer already has dug up HUGE baggage. And even if somehow nothing else comes out, Walz's record alone is massive dirt on its own!
2
@cedricrust9953 Vance is a far better choice and will resonate with far more people than Walz. He actually helps in neighboring states, Walz pretty much ONLY helps in MN.
2
The worst governor in the country and the one who let Minneapolis burn in 2020. All you need to know.
2
@adee1626 Because Minnesota is a blue state. Even still he did pretty bad in 2022 considering.
2
@needsmetal Exactly, hence why I don't think he'll "betray" the left the same way Pence betrayed the right.
2
"But he won rural areas back when the country was less polarized, therefore he'll crush Blumph in rurals throughout the country!" -How your average leftoid thinks.
2
Honestly of the people on Kamala's shortlist I think BeShear would've been the only one that would've even slightly given me a pause considering he was the only one who seems close to scandal free and doesn't really have much to be attacked on besides being a nepo baby (even if granted that's only because Republicans have supermajorities in the KY legislature).
2
If not for the caveat you stated (living in a deep blue state) I would call you a complete and total idiot.
2
@rangodenalo6185 Your posts are left wing cope ;)
2
@malluk3065 You obviously know nothing about the constitution or the precedent before Jan. 6th if you believe that BS that Pence merely "stuck to his oath". There have LONG been objections to the electoral college counting even in Congress, and Pence completely changed the rules because he didn't want to have to deal with them and because he was just as anxious to remove Trump as the rest of the corrupt establishment.
1
@kenbrohere If you're talking about in terms of a landslide of that magnitude, probably not. Kamala will still keep things relatively "close" compared to that election just simply due to the fact that we're very polarized as a nation and there's not many people at all who split their tickets anymore.
1
@ClassicEdge I don't know about "amazing", he was kind of a squishy RINO when he was in the MN state legislature from what I've heard, but I have little doubt he still would've been FAR better than Tampon Tim and would at least have made MN look like a somewhat normal state.
1
@rangodenalo6185 It's freaking weird and a symptom of the fact that he and other Democrats don't have a clue about gender and want to cause harm to minors. You assholes never think about these things too deeply, do you?
1
Trump's still polling way better than he was in 2016 and 2020 when he was vastly understated and Kamala has barely even started actually campaigning yet. Once that happens and Americans are reminded of how unlikable she is and also once the seemingly looming recession actually starts, her "momentum" will all but fade.
1
@kenbrohere Well, yes, but that aside I still think there's pretty much a ceiling to how much either a Democrat or a Republican can win by in the modern day. With how polarized we are and the fact that the biggest party diehards will basically turnout in every election no matter what, I think any candidate who gets the nomination of one of the two major parties has an absolute floor of like 43% of the vote. Meaning that the most amount of Electoral Votes a Republican can win with is likely somewhere around 410.
1
If anything it further proves my point that the Dems are just having Kamala be a sacrificial lamb so they can attempt to "disown" the progressives after the election and try and grift and rebuild for 2028 with some sort of "moderate" candidate. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if that was at least part of the real reason they passed over and worked over time to get rid of Shapiro.
1
Because he was grifting as pro 2A guy back before he later exposed his true colors as governor.
1
@afridgetoofar1818 I certainly wouldn't consider someone who praises socialism and spits in the face of every rural voter a "moderate", that's for damn sure.
1
@afridgetoofar1818 You clearly haven't if you're buying into the BS narrative that Walz is just a moderate Midwestern Dad.
1
@Ondisside Yet Democrats LOVE to bring up the past constantly and try to incite public outrage over shit that happened like 30-50 years ago if not even an entire century ago... If they're allowed to not let go of the past I don't see why we should. Besides, it's still a prime example of Walz's horrible leadership style and exactly the kind of thing we can expect under a potential Walz administration should something happen to Harris, so it's very relevant regardless.
1
@Ondisside Buddy, when you're about to become POTUS or even second in command to the president and the next in line to assume the office should anything happen to the President elect, EVERYTHING about your career can and should be scrutinized to the fullest degree. It's not like Harris and Walz are simply campaigning to be the next owner of a hot dog stand or are merely volunteering to watch over someone's pet. They're literally asking us to allow them to assume the highest office in the land, and so almost NOTHING is off the table as long as it's relevant to their ability to lead.
1
@afridgetoofar1818 Take your own advice.
1
@afridgetoofar1818 LMAO no he doesn't. Walz did absolutely awful in the white working class and rural parts of MN in 2022, especially compared to his initial 2018 election when he still had lasting appeal from his time in Congress. No one is gonna be like "Oh wow, this Walz guy bought a new furnace for his home from Menards, I have to vote for him!!".
1
@Ondisside You need a LOT more than just "progressives" to win a national election mate.
1
In a lot of ways I kinda feel like Walz got lucky in 2022. He faced a terrible opponent for one thing who had a long history of caving into the left and buddying up with far left Democrats, plus he like many "swing state" governors benefitted from the Dobbs decision which I also believe might've saved Keith Ellison and the MN Treasurer (forget her name, not that it's important anyway). I feel like if he and many of the other Democrats were up for re-election just a year earlier when they were all being tyrannical over the vax and when GOP enthusiasm was at an absolute peak, he would've been decimated.
1
Yep. He's basically a Midwest Bernie. He may be loved by terminally online lefties, but Walz will be poisonous to virtually everyone else.
1
@jonathanl9663 Did he? I know the stupid "Republicans for Kamala" organization is encouraging him to do so, but I haven't seen any evidence he actually has.
1
I don't think he'll be that much of a help in MI anyway. Sure, he'll amplify progressives, especially the white ones, but Walz is pretty much poison to virtually everybody else. And his whole "weird" tagline doesn't even work because many people outside of MN think people from MN are weird.
