  1. I'd still contest that. I think the text he refers to is talking about the foxes, not the wolves. As they're the magicians, which is definitely a bad thing to be as a man, unless you're the god Wen of course. As with mortals, only women (or old men, basically, weak people) are morally allowed to practice such things. Having said that. In Ragnarok, 'ulf' is used to refer to the midgard snake for example. And varg (or maybe ulf as well) generally for some monster.
