Politicians blow with the wind but they all pee in the same pot so it pays not to get too close. What we need is accountability and I don't mean accountable to a bunch of spoiled middled class brats like Greta Thunberg or racially motivated political extremists like BLM who shout and stomp their feet to get what they want. If they want to lobby then join the queue and wait in turn like the rest of us - it is one of Britain's fairest cultural traditions. Show some respect in a tolerant country or feck off to one which is perceived to be more friendly - and name it as I aren't aware of its existence.

Rafe is the man to sort Khan out. The mayor either objects to slavery or he doesn't, simple. This isn't just a British matter, it is an international one and he is mayor of an extremely significant international city within the globalised multicultural modern world as his ilk continually like to remind us. He should have no hiding place on this one especially given current circumstances.

@petegromov9037 Ah yes, the same capitalism which extends welfare payments to immigrants irrespective of whether they have paid tax? It isn't fair by a long chalk, especially to the low paid and definitely not the meritocracy the conservatives like to dress it up as but at least it offers 'some' hope. Try and remember which direction people moved in when the Berlin Wall came down. Sadly some of the useful idiots floating around in Britain at the moment seem to have short memories of what communism means to those who have lived under it.
