  1. @ddontyy Kinda mention sonars were tuned down as to not harm fish.... Also relevant is a Dutch Walrus-class submarine, picked for being old (early 1990's launched, 1978 design, never upgraded for stealth) got to a distance of Russia's only carrier that they could've surfaced and thrown shoes at it, before turning on active sonar and the Russian propaganda went "We detected 280 evil NATO submarines and chased them away, sinking at least 500 of them!" There's currently (this week) a debate in the Dutch parliament about why these better-than-the-best-Russia-has subs remain in service until 2030 up to 2034, which is roughly when Russia will reach 1993 wealth levels again.
