@lillyie Lol just cos he disagrees doesn't mean he's a shill. You probably can't believe that lmao
13
Underestimating China is more dangerous than you could ever imagine.
9
Not really. I work for JPM and we've just published a big report on the future of Chinese housing. China is transitioning to a new housing system based on affordable housing and public housing, rather than speculative housing. Download the report and read it, it's all you need to know.
8
@RockwellAIM65 The west isn't ascending, it's becoming racially divided and instable.
7
Serpentza is terrible. He just makes videos about stupid topics like "spit fighting" and tries to extrapolate it to the whole country.
6
A scenario where Japan invades the Chinese would immediately give the Chinese a common enemy like in world war 2. But this time, china would probably have the strength to push Japan out.
5
He feeds off people's biases. He just says bad things about China and people love it.
5
The fact that people genuinely believe whatifalthist is worrying. I thought the Internet was supposed to make people smart?
5
India is very overrated as well
4
@logicisdead9871 Nope, he is a sensationalized mouthpiece.
4
@thomassenbart Demographics alone can't explain everything. Especially not in the 21st century. Look at yourself.
4
@declanfeeney7004 Because people are always biased towards Japan
4
@adamnesico So did I back in 2015. Not impressive, his predictions and certainty are just maddening.
3
@malachiholder351 Watch the end of the video. He says that China will collapse and hundreds of millions of people will die. That's just not going to happen. He forgets that Chinese people live normal lives
3
@michaelnurse9089 This place isn't a place for economics, it's about fantasies and sensationalized predictions.
3
These decades will be shit. But afterwards, society will recover and flourish. A new DEMOCRATIC China, and the US will lead the world in huge technological innovation and artificial intelligence.
3
@adolfchadermien A lot of them like legalizing child labour and higher property tax for elderly seems like 8th grade humour. At the end of the day, it's not that people don't want kids, it's that they don't have time to, or can't afford it.
3
@gmw3083 Yeah, whatifalthist makes fantasies and his audience laps it up as if it's remotely realistic.
3
India is OVERRATED by Indians themselves
3
@duruarute5445 Not when they can't shut up about it
3
Lol keep saying that 🤡🤡🤡
3
@mdkarbarine6853 If USA tried to invade China it would go wrong. If China tried to invade USA it would go wrong. I'm just saying.
3
So many Indians think this 😂😂🙄🙄
3
@innosam123 Still, if you read the report, which came from Chinese academics, you should've stopped twice to acknowledge that its a lot of guess work and pessimistic predictions. The reason why you don't, is because people nowadays only believe what they want to believe and what sounds good to them.
3
That's the thing. It won't break up, it will just lose relevancy
3
@shorewall I don't understand how Shanghai would become independent. Tibet and Xinjiang will, but shanghai will probably never break apart from the Han Chinese mainland.
3
This guy knows very little about China. There are no "mass protests" across China and he is just making exaggerated fantasies like usual. He has no idea what's going on in China, but he thinks he knows a lot. Like with Russia, the US, and Iran, this guy is wrong.
3
@thomassenbart At this point you are just another one of those China will stagnate at best and collapse soon. One of many.
3
The US hasn't had much experience either, well in terms of modern conflict. War evolves, Iraq and Afghanistan experience will become irrelevant by the 2030s and 40s. Unless the US starts a new war somewhere, past experiences will fall prey to the ever evolving landscape of warfare.
2
I genuinely don't think population ageing and decline is as much of an issue as people think. 50 years ago, people thought that overpopulation would absolutely destroy the world. Now it's the polar opposite yet people are still absolutely sure that population decline will destroy the world
2
@innosam123 I don't need to explain, recent reports out of shanghai predict that with current fertility rates, china's population will halve by 2070. Not 2050 despite all your 'facts'. And that report is based on a TFR of 1. Although you will probably still latch on to your speculation that you found and call it "fact"
2
@Shaurya Joshi China can find other routes.
2
@MikeJones-wp2mw I think in a war between China and India, the US definitely need to support India with drones and stuff like that. In the mountains, the Indians are tough and strong, but the Chinese have the clear advantage in drone warfare, 5G comms and other technology such as spy satellites
2
@Thomas-u8q Still much stronger than siberia though
2
China will successfully raise their birth rate with improved childcare services. Xi Jinping has mentioned childcare services many times. Pokemon will make a China-based region, focusing on the absolutely amazing Chinese mythology without anything political in the game, because Pokemon is obviously not a political game. A China-based region is proven by the four treasures in Pokemon Scarlet.
2
According to Perun, calling China a paper tiger is wrong.
2
@notstrong5789 But China is industrialized. That makes a huge difference.
2
@vyktorehon5995 I think if we look back to history, china has always been collapsing and reforming. If I had to bet, china's technology education and military strength would transform China into an empire like country once it inevitably re unifies after a bloody civil war.
2
@OnlineEnglish-wl5rp China's economy isn't doing well, but that's a far cry from the fantasies whatifalthist is spouting. Anyways, I work for JPM, the state of the Chinese economy is very complicated and not what you would immediately assume.
2
Japan isn't innovative enough anymore. Chinese, Taiwanese and American technology has surpassed Japan. Yes even China in AI and autonomous tech. At the end of the day, America will continue to dominate Japan. Wouldn't be surprised if Okinawa was given to the US permanently, Japan doesn't really deserve it
2
@xijinpig8982 The Indian military isn't powerful enough to invade Tibet. I can tell you are Indian, but I'm sorry, India's future is not looking good.
2
Awesome Gaming I'd say 2 to 3
2
@xijinpig8982 Not really. The bulk of China is far away from India. They will return to traditional Chinese religions. Anyways, India is also on route to collapse, so that'll be interesting.
2
Your right. Rome didn't decline. It crumbled apart
2
@Pacbandit13 So ageing demographics does not necessarily mean destiny?
2
It's too sensationalized and biased to be honest. They only tell people what they WANT to hear.
2
@kyledrake9208 Yes but he it's clear he tries to exaggerate it to portray China negatively.
2
@fsaldan1 Valiant effort, but incorrect.
2
That video was already debunked. Chinese missiles are solid fueled missiles, this means the fuel is not liquid. Duh?
2
@nathanseper8738 But let's just admit it, a democratic China would be the most advanced technological power in the world. They've got Taiwans semiconductors and mainlands artificial intelligence etc. But like you said, that's not a given
