@nanaholic01 Good effort, but not quite. China and Japan might have the same issues, but the steps that China can and will take make the situation different. What I mean by this is wages and productivity. Japanese wages stagnated and therefore, consumer production also. Worker productivity in Japan is the lowest out of G7. That just makes the shrinking workforce a bigger problem. China has a low average wage and productivity, which gives it room to grow. Worker productivity growth balances out the decline in the workforce, and as productivity grows, so do wages, leading to more free, consumption.

As much as people try and deny it, this is the exact same situation the US allies are with China. South Korea, Japan, Germany. Hell, even India

It's wrong to blame China's problems all on Xi. If you look at China's development model when they are growing at 10% every year you will realise that it was very unsustainable and was going to end eventually. Xi's problem is the lack of competency in try to solve that issue. Going back to Mao policies won't work, but knowing the CCP, anything Xi does know isn't going to stay the same in the next decade or so.

@nanaholic01 Again, good effort but still not quite there. The simple fact is that China raising worker productivity helps the demographic decline. That's an obvious fact. China's workforce is shrinking but each generation has more advanced technology available and are also better educated. Hence the rise in productivity. All those economists make their predictions towards an audience like you, because they know you'll latch onto it without using basic knowledge first. No hard feelings, feel free to try again

There are many differences between 80s Japan and modern China. It's foolish to compare the 2 only because Japan imploded
