If birds don't have a nest, they won't lay eggs. What if nests cost 30x what the birds can afford?

Can you do a video on global birth rates? In places like East Asia, people just cannot afford to have children, and even if they could, they wouldn't have time to raise their children due to the nature of the East Asian work culture and their careers would be negatively impacted. Governments like Japan and Korea aren't committing to solving the root of the problem, but instead hope that cash incentives will raise births. I'm using East Asia as an example as that is where the causes of the problem are most extreme.

India disappoints both pessimists and optimists. It will become a vibrant economic superpower, but it's growth may not be on the same scale as China in the 80s and so forth, due to the differing nature of the world and their individual economies.
198
Don't know about you, but I genuinely don't have much faith in the Biden administration in Asia.
46
India has been on the cusp of a boom for decades. A huge economic boom won't happen. India's growth will be steadier if the Indian government makes the right decision to plan long term growth, instead of an unsustainable growth model that the government can't handle.
45
Nah, most of those "allies" are addicted to Chinese trade. And they aren't showing any signs of slowing. Disappointed with their attitude
42
This is why china is prioritising high tech and artificial intelligence. They know that nukes and nationalism cannot make up for the lack of modernisation
35
@zhcultivator Yep, watched that. It was good although I think it overcomplicates the issue slightly. The reason behind low birth rates is obvious. People can't afford to. Whether in terms of money or time.
22
@pradyumna3107 If India wants to become a superpower, they should stop focusing on spurring a short term boom, and instead focus on longer term, steadier growth. Look at China, 40 years of impressive growth, and now an unsustainable model coming apart at the seams. India's government would not be able to stop that sort of situation compared to Xi's China at the current time. Go steady or else the glory will be short lived.
22
No, but let's overlook that.
22
@yoyolim538 China uncensored is the haven of China hawks.
21
@pradyumna3107 I wouldn't be too sure. Unlike China's government, it's extremely clear that India's growth has been hampered by short term thinking to win the next election. Democracy has many great advantages, but when it comes to longer term planning, India really isn't the one to step out.
16
There's no such thing as "deserve" Sad but true. That being said, China and India will definitely continue rising throughout the coming years.
14
@pranavingale6850 Exactly. You are perfectly correct. I doubt India will surpass China or the US to be honest, but it doesn't need to.
14
Most people think China will start to decline and all that but the fact is that they are moving towards, slower, stable and high tech economic growth. India will take roughly 20 to 30 years to catch up. That's not a bad thing.
13
That diamond necklace isn't what it seems. I've heard of it, but it isn't taking shape and it is only promoted by Indian media. Which isn't realistic
12
Is Manchuria even a thing now? It's <95% Han Chinese and hasn't been independent for hundreds of years.
12
@scottdoesntmatter4409 Let it all out lil bro.
11
It's always fun and games, until it actually happens
11
@zachweaverproductions2523 In my opinion, the CCP seems to think artificial intelligence and technology will carry China from one strength to another. That's why they've invested billions into emerging technologies. More than the US actually. That's one thing russia was never able to do
10
Usually when people "go down swinging" irl, they get slept on within 4 seconds. Everyone's got a plan before the punch hits the mouth...

In terms of drones, china is one of the leading countries. They've released drone carriers powered by AI and a fleet of VTOL drones were found on shandong deck a month ago.
7
Chinese history makes Game of Thrones look like a kids bedtime program
7
Look at trade. All the countries you mentioned heavily rely on China for trade. That is one huge reason why china could potentially move into a dominant position
5
They already have plenty of rare earths.....
5
@pradyumna3107 Just because you disagree with my point, does not mean I am biased. I'm stating that India cannot afford to just go all in on an economic boom that might not even materialize.

For those of you who don't know, "Tulak Hord" tried to get lippy with me in a previous video from CaspianReport about war in the South China sea. His account (which was made mere hours ago) got banned and I could feel his tears of rage sliding down his cheeks. As you can see, his account is only one week old, because he isn't learning from his previous failures and keeps getting banned. I hope this continues, have a good evening everyone!
4
@SkywalkerWroc Agreed. Your point on technology is interesting. However my initial point was about developed countries. Countries with low development don't have competitive education and everyone lives in straw huts. Kids are free labour on the farms.
4
LMAO, Tulak Hord's account just got terminated again. Serves him right for saying things like that. Respect everyone, live and let live.
4
@@TulakHord-sh8tyHey kid, remember me? I was the one who got your last account taken down. I've even got the video link so you can relive your previous dismantling.
4
@evacoustic6506 If we know about how to bring down the dam, I'm pretty sure the PRC military have already thought of all the other options.
4
Koalas are the cutest things ever.
4
In terms of manufacturing for foreign countries, automation will boost Chinese production massively. The problem is Chinas shrinking consumption. That is how demographics will affect China. Not productivity, but consumption
4
@Unwise- I think it'll become like a state within China. Like Oklahoma for the natives even though there aren't many at all.
3
Technology is irrelevant. China is innovating technology very quickly in quantum tech and artificial intelligence. But that won't fix their demographics
3
@growndown3358 China's economic rise depended on cheap labour, but this is 40 years later. Just because growth relied on a certain factor does not mean that it will always be the case. However I'm not saying you are wrong before you reply.
3
@napobg6842 If you really needed "context" for that topic, you actually know nothing about the geopolitical state of Asia, yet you still ramble about it like you know a lot.
3
@danielrodriguez248 Lol dickhead.
3
@zachweaverproductions2523 Exactly. AI won't solve china's issues. Although the your last point was just a decade old stereotype that you remember from the early 2000s. China doesn't just "steal" technology and in some cases, they've surpassed the US. China can and is innovating. That's been the case for at least 5 years now. Although it seems it will take at least 20 years for people to realise that But that's going to cause a huge disagreement between us two because you think like one of the "China steals and can't do anything" people and I don't. I agree with you on everything, china's demography is unsolvable. They have to make a move now. They won't dominate the Pacific. (But they innovate and develop their own technology now)
3
@chintakgurjar8426 Everything India does is a struggle for relevance on the global stage.
3
@yourmomgoestocollege9617 Easy to choose? Tell that to India, south korea, the Philippines and basically everyone who is a US "ally", but can't stop trading with China.
3
@dana8503 Nope, they've still got a lot left in the tank and other means of power influence despite the older YouTube viewers and their perspectives
3
Why is it always the Indians that need to post these sorts of comments. India will never be a superpower with people like this in their borders.
2
It would give China a perfect excuse to go feral on the island of Taiwan. The Taiwanese aren't stupid enough to try and destroy a Chinese dam with no guarantee of success.
2
No they aren't. Stop being fussy
2
Hold up, Australia can't fuel, maintain, or deploy nucleur subs. So that means their long term defence plan is chained to the US. Wow
2
If usa gives Taiwan nukes, china could nuke Taiwan and USA in retaliation and end up destroying the whole world's economy and climate. There are no winners in nuclear war
2
You seem awfully optimistic about everything. You just can't see why that's not a good thing.
2
Yeah but the US can do anything and get away with it
2
In short: the dollar isn't going anywhere, but steady de-dolarization might be enough to satisfy Xi Jinping.
