India disappoints both pessimists and optimists. It will become a vibrant economic superpower, but it's growth may not be on the same scale as China in the 80s and so forth, due to the differing nature of the world and their individual economies.

India has been on the cusp of a boom for decades. A huge economic boom won't happen. India's growth will be steadier if the Indian government makes the right decision to plan long term growth, instead of an unsustainable growth model that the government can't handle.

@pradyumna3107 If India wants to become a superpower, they should stop focusing on spurring a short term boom, and instead focus on longer term, steadier growth. Look at China, 40 years of impressive growth, and now an unsustainable model coming apart at the seams. India's government would not be able to stop that sort of situation compared to Xi's China at the current time. Go steady or else the glory will be short lived.

@pradyumna3107 I wouldn't be too sure. Unlike China's government, it's extremely clear that India's growth has been hampered by short term thinking to win the next election. Democracy has many great advantages, but when it comes to longer term planning, India really isn't the one to step out.

There's no such thing as "deserve" Sad but true. That being said, China and India will definitely continue rising throughout the coming years.

@pranavingale6850 Exactly. You are perfectly correct. I doubt India will surpass China or the US to be honest, but it doesn't need to.

@scottdoesntmatter4409 Let it all out lil bro.

@pradyumna3107 Just because you disagree with my point, does not mean I am biased. I'm stating that India cannot afford to just go all in on an economic boom that might not even materialize.

Probably won't be as rosy as that. India disappoints both optimists and pessimists.

@notaname1750 They can fight for their own independence. All great nations fought for their rights and culture, they didn't rely on western internet users to sympathize with them.
