@kongwee1978 Difference is that India, Japan and US trains and uses local workers. India, US and Japan only loan for projects that make economics sense, they do feasibility studies. china doesn't care and just loans away even beyond the ability of countries to pay.

@tanjongmalim6869 Not saying India is perfect but most importantly india uses local labour. I.e. Train the man to fish so he can feed himself for life. China is just using its own labour because it has alot of surplus labour after their mass infra construction spree. So it is looking to export that labour overseas, that is why china doesn't care about most of the projects, they could be a road to nowhere so long as countries take their loan and pay china workers and create jobs for china workers. Countries get loan to pay china workers and corrupt leaders get a kick back. There are many court cases of corrupt tender practices, bribery in South America and Africa. I remember a case of a project in Bangladesh which were refused loans by both India and Japan due to unpractical nature of project but china just gave the loan.

@jacksins1431 Bullet trains are not essential, US and other countries are top economies without bullet trains.India already have Vande Bharat which is a very affordable semi-high speed train, much better for developing countries. Even some train manufactures like Alstorm are building driverless fully automated train in India for Canada Montreal REM Metro.

very evil indeed, china don't even do economic feasibility for loan. Getting loans from India is safer at least they train and use the local workforce.

@jennyohara4011 Japan loans only after doing economic feasibility studies and won't invest in project they deem a useless project that is not viable, profitable or useful. Many leader of countries like to build useless projects just to gain votes or for popularity. China doesn't care about all that, they just want other countries to use china workers and that is the term of all china loans. China have a huge amount of excess construction labour after they went through a massive construction period now china throwing loans around to create jobs for them at the expense of other countries tax payers. There is also a lot of corruptions that cause china winning these construction tenders, there are undercover videos on youtube where they were caught.
