  4. Radio, travelling at light speed, is actually too slow for making contact with anything more than a light year distant. If alien life exists, it is much too far away to consider. So I'm wondering how Mr. Kaku thinks it is going to happen? Space vehicles are out of the question - far too slow. Warp drives, wormholes, inter dimensional vehicles and other impossible 'faster than light' fantasies, are not going to happen. Nothing can travel faster than light, that's all there is to it. Even light speed is too slow for interstellar travel, at the best speed we could muster, humans would need lifetimes thousands of years long to go anywhere! Two way alien contact by radio will not happen either for the same reason, years between contacts. e.g. Two way contact to our nearest star system, Alpha Centauri, 4.2 light years away, would take 8.4 years! Let's retain our sanity and concentrate on things we CAN do!

I read words perfectly, but I don't ''guess'' if not referred to by name. My YT policy now is to ignore a post not addressed to me.   31. @J It's not just a lot of work, it's impossible. The furthest we have been is the Moon. I know the crazy Elon Musk wants to go to Mars. I estimate 1.5 years for that which is a trip of only 40 million miles, very short by space standards. I predict disaster for that unless he gets some sense soon. As for the rest of only this galaxy, forget about it, not going to happen, ever.

In a court of law, it's well known that human witness testimony is notoriously bad, that's why the law demands more than that to convict! Real evidence must be scientifically corroborated without doubt. The youthful irrational American obsession with groundless, zero evidential alien life, is remarkable. I think it highlights the flaw of education in America. Surely some education in the vast size of the cosmos should be made a priority!

  45. That may sound plausible, but we are NOT aliens, we are the people of Earth! There is exactly zero scientifically verifiable evidence for aliens, that's all there is to it. They are so far away, I think we'll never have evidence for them. People who love aliens have simply no idea of cosmic size and the impossibility of the speed necessary for space travel for us and aliens. Sorry alien fans, but that is the truth.

I estimated 100,000 years for the trip, NASA recently said their updated estimate was 81,000 years. Many generations would need to breed on the way. Instantly forgettable.
