Don’t blame Japan. It’s just coincidence of circumstances.

You almost sound sympathetic towards North Korea.

The sanctions are because of the regime, not the other way around.

@YifanMusic you’re making the government more likely to collapse, which ultimately benefits citizens. North Korea is a dictatorship. Not a “people’s democratic dictatorship”, just a dictatorship.
1
@YifanMusic people don’t protest because it would get them killed. Of course the privileged get to travel abroad, that’s a natural result of there being a ruling class. The United States democratically elects its politicians, North Korea is entirely subject to the whim of the Kim Family. Capitalism really does work. It’s not a coincidence that North Korea is starving while South Korea is an economic powerhouse. If you lived in North Korea, you wouldn’t be typing this comment. North Korea has no freedom of speech regardless of what their constitution says.
1
@YifanMusic capitalism isn’t a far right ideology. South Korea is wealthier because capitalism has allowed it to grow. The United States wants capitalism in North Korea so that their people can experience the same wealth and freedom as their southern counterparts.
1
@YifanMusic no, they want North Korea to be free. The Iraq war was bad foresight on the part of the George W. Bush administration.
1
@YifanMusic also, I like how you never addressed the extreme censorship in North Korea that’s not found anywhere else.
1
@YifanMusic South Korea doesn’t do that as much as they used to. And just because misinformation exists, doesn’t make censorship acceptable.
1
@YifanMusic freedom of speech is a fundamental human right. North Korea arrests and sometimes executes people for even the most basic forms of criticism.
1
@YifanMusic we do know that North Korea is totalitarian. If you have so much faith in them, go test the boundaries yourself.
1
@YifanMusic we’re helping them by bringing the regime closer to collapse.
1
No, they both speak Korean.
1
North Korea is evil.
1
South Korea is independent. To not recognize it would be definitively wrong.
1
It’s not.
1
It’s not about oil.
1
It’s not so simple.
1
It’s complicated.
1
North Korea IS evil.
