@salvadorsanchez6697 To prevent the spread of a deadly virus. Almost a million Americans died even with the measure although many who died didn't take the virus seriously until it was too late. It would have been much worse if nothing was done.

@Blakklansman254 No I understand you feel the experts should have had all the answers at once like some kind of religion. Science is not like that. They were learning as they went. Wearing a mask in a no brainer when it comes to a virus but they couldn't even convince the idiots to do that. The idiots couldn't even understand why they shouldn't go to churches or schools! How do you get anything through to people like that? You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
