  1. Same with strippers, dancers, actress's etc. There are different employment laws for entertainers. The late great Norm MacDonald said the reason he was fired from the fake news on SNL was that they said he wasn't funny. Norm goes on to point out that he would have one hell of a lawsuit if it was any other job.

  2. That was not the official reason Don Ohlmeyer gave him. Don was buddies with OJ but said he didn't find Norm funny on Weekend Update and they were taking him of it. Norm wasn't actually fired from SNL just the news part but he left anyways. @annebreitrick6116
