  2. As western aviation has grown over the last half century it has also become safer. More planes should mean more accidents but because of a healthy safety culture and technical innovations, western aviation has become safer and safer over the decades. That speaks for itself.

  5.  @tommas2674  Not really. Western aviation has a good record of self reporting. The worst thing you can do is not report something because you are afraid it will look bad. Commercial aviation gets safer every year even though there are more and more flight every year. That say's something it itself.
