  2. Insurance ends at the waterline. Normal policies don't cover going through the ice.

  3.  @The300zxsupra  I don't see why your home insurance would cover that. Mine won't even cover a boat in the garage if it's worth more than 10 grand. I`m sure you could get insurance for the ice but it's not included in standard policies as far as I know.
