  1. I guess you weren't around in the 70's and 80's. We had double digit inflation back then kid and mortgage rates were near 20%. People have way more disposable income now.

  3.  @XetaXones  many didn't have jobs back then. High unemployment. Homes were not affordable due to high interest rates. Buying a home meant making sacrifices to pay off the mortgage

  7.  @knowledgeandmultiskilled  I waited for almost 10 years for prices to drop I finally bought something in 2017 thinking I was buying at the top of the market. Three years later my place almost doubled in price
