  1. We live in a time when relatively cheap aerial drones are commercially available or can be easily home built. Unlike RC aircraft of old these drones are easy to fly thanks to gyroscopes/autopilots and can (and usually do) travel beyond the visual range of the operator thanks to TV link up. This also makes it harder to catch or know who is operating them because their isn't some guy with a control box standing underneath it in a field. The operator is probably miles away in his bedroom or car.
