. Do you know what happens to people who illegally enter Mexico? 10 years in one of their hellhole prisons on the 2nd offence. That is if they are not shot.

mcanete5000, Still a crime. Hopefully that will be upgraded to a felony. Do you know what happens to people who illegally enter Mexico? 10 years in one of their hellhole prisons. That is if you are not shot.

Christopher Eves, How is it doing no harm to have illegals in our country? Think about what an insult it is to all the people in our history who immigrated here legally.
6
Scott K, Actually I just looked up the law again. I WAS wrong. It would be 2 years in prison and getting caught a 2nd time would be 10 years.

Christopher Eves, See... that is the fundamental problem most people have.... The "good ones", as you call them did something they knew was wrong.... they purposely broke our laws. How are the American people best served by people who knowingly break our laws?
4
Christopher Eves, In 2000 amnesty was offered and granted for 900,000 illegal immigrants. In 2014 Obama offer 5 million illegal immigrants amnesty. Why should anyone immigrate legally, if they can sidestep the process. It's ridiculous.
4
Christopher Eves, as far as your speeding scenario, you get caught and get a ticket... there ARE/should be consequences for illegal behavior.
3
Christopher Eves, Maybe you missed my previous post. NO ONE has been here for 20 years and hasn't been offered amnesty. No matter if a don't agree with it, it was done. So there is something VERY wrong with anyone who has been here for 20 years and isn't a citizen.....

mcanete5000, Yes... they were "vetted". Not everyone was accepted, back then. There were MANY that were turned away, after reaching America.

Christopher Eves , Then she didn't think enough of our laws to take advantage of the amnesty (they are made citizens. They file paperwork and become citizens, bypassing the normal process to become one.) and somehow that is everyone else's fault or even more ludicrous,it's President Trumps fault. See how ridiculous that is?

Christopher Eves , It IS sad, although I think she had a felony conviction,if I remember the case correctly. I'm not a heartless person, but when exceptions are made to a law, especially one as important as illegal immigration, it will and has gotten out of control. The saddest part is, in my opinion, that it has taken our country and politicians so long to address these issues.

Javier Diaz, There is no 20 year waiting line to enter the U.S. Get real. 2nd, all you have to do is Google "Mexico's immigration law". That IS their law. 3rd, of course they don't usually treat Americans like that, but what about the less fortunate on tbeir southern border? 4th, if you want to have an intelligent conversation, where people actually listen to you, you may want to watch your language, Snowflake. Just saying.

Javier Diaz, I will quote from www.usimmigration.us web site. "After a prospective citizen files Form N-400, Application for Naturalzation, the USCIS will take about 6 months to process the application, but this can take longer in some cases. The estimate is for th9se applicants who already meet the eligibility requirements for citizenship, which often requires 5 or more years of residence in the U.S. (which basically means you have to live here legally for 5 years or more). As for Mexican illegal immigration law , I again say, google it, Snowflake. YOU are the one talking out of your ass. Go back to CNN channel.

Javier Diaz, It does not take 20 years to get a green card. Do you even have Google on your device? OMG you are a moron
