  1. Not sure I get what "now" means. PREEMPT_RT has existed for a pretty long time. I've used that on boxes for real-time audio processing. So what part is new? Haven't followed what the news are.

  2.  @autohmae  Ah I see, thanks. Hopefully this change will make it easier to officially release PREEMPT_RT kernels for SBCs like the RPi and similar, which is something that IMO was severely missing.
