  1. It's not the crossing itself that is dangerous! It's people, and mainly the fault of the idiotic speeding mindless car drivers (mainly young men). Plus also many pedestrians don't look bothways before crossing, they just see a zebra and walk straight out. They must think a zebra crossing possesses some kind of magical powers that makes vehicles stop on a sixpence in a second.
