  1. In many families when the parents split up, the father in particular can get himself a new partner, take on her children from a previous relationship, and then maybe have a baby with his new partner. Sometimes his first child gets pushed out, or feels pushed aside. Maybe that's what happened here! Of course I'm just assuming, but marriage break ups can affect children more than we realise. Very sad all round here.
