@Hulbetley Am not talking about ancient slavery but modern slavery, which happened during the industrial revolution. Modern slavery which sustained the British empire before its abolition was unique because it was based on race (inferiority based on skin color). You people keep mentioning that the British empire stopped slavery but I am not claiming otherwise. What am criticizing is that the British people are looking for a pat on the back for ending something they also benefited from significantly.
