Why are Ukrainians willing to die for the rest of Europe? Why not be neutral like Switzerland?

@dirindindin1 Stop lying bro 🤥 . Ukraine applied to join NATO first before Russian intervention. Ukraine wanted to allow NATO operate near Russia borders. Do your research bro.

master mariner Ask yourself, who came first? Little green men in Ukraine or Ukraine's intentions to join NATO? Am guessing NATO expansion near Russian borders came first.

What am wondering is, why are Ukrainians willing to die for the rest of EU countries and America? Didn't Ukraine see the UK struggling to get out of the EU? Ukrainians should remain neutral like Switzerland

master mariner Understand they don't want the soviet experience. But won't they benefit more if they're neutral from both Western and Russian influence? Cause the losers are Ukrainians to be honest.

master mariner If NATO were invited by Ukrainians, how comes all negotiations are between NATO and Russia, with no Ukrainians?

@zinnsoldat6493 Didn't you see their conditions for the Russian troop withdrawal? Or your so into western propaganda you don't think for yourself anymore? Don't get me wrong here. I am not pro-Russia but also that doesn't mean am pro-Nato. I value the idea of sovereignty and its upon Ukrainians to decide and doesn't look like its happening based on media reports.

master mariner The battle is in Ukraine, not Russia. To me, it looks like Ukrainians are about to loose more lives than Russians here.

@lawrencemitchell5983 Have you also thought about Russian security? Russia doesn't want NATO a stone throw away from its borders because of security issues. Wouldn't you threaten your neighbour if they're bringing thieves next to your borders? Remember the aggressor here is the one expanding its influence.

@lawrencemitchell5983 Okay, i will withdraw the term "thieves" and replace it with "enemies." I just wanted to think based on Russians perspective. Also, Putins tenure shouldn't be the concern of the Russians not foreigners. Don't forget Putin is on the defensive position right now and NATO is on the offensive. The same way the Soviets were on the offensive during the cuban missile crisis when the USA was on the defensive position. A repeat of history initiated by NATO.
