@DonatusOkechukwuOkoli-zc7nz No. Prince Phillip was German. His family were German, Danish, Russian and a bit Hungarian. Charles is much more German than his mother or even Queen Victoria.

@Roz-y2d Correct. The whole point of the EU is to tie Germany and France in such a tight embrace neither can get a hand free to hit the other. And none of the other nations need to take sides. Wars between Germans and French haunted Europe for 350 years.

@petersmith2522 Who is Norman? Some of our aristocracy still harbour Norman names and some dna. All first nation British have about 5% Norman dna. They arrived here just after the common ancestor point. But our royals are all descendants of the Scottish Stuart family ,through Mary Queen of Scots.

@DonatusOkechukwuOkoli-zc7nz The Greek royal family were not Greeks. Greece only got its royals imposed after independence from the Ottomans in 1832. First the Bavarian Otto,then the Sondersburg-Glucksbergs took over in 1863. They were German Danish. From Oldenburg. Prince Andrew married a Russian Romanov. His own father was a German Danish prince born in Copenhagen.
