@stequality From 1939 we created the British nation as opposed to the British Empire. We looked to the needs of our people in education, health , housing. We literally nationalised many Industries . But yes there was also a need to defeat tyranny on the continent. Security comes first. From 1938-1979 Britain became richer, more equal and happier than ever before Equality peaked in1975. Happiness in 1977.

@stequality We are much less happy and patently undeveloping now. Infrastructure and pay is stagnant. Trust is fatally undermined.
