@Nom_AnorVSJedi There is a lot of pro Japan/South Korea/Taiwan/Philippines/Vietnam sentiment in India. India would be more likely to go along with asian NATO if Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia joined. For now, this is not yet in the cards.

@blackmotivatiionn Over simplification. Is the USA a reliable ally? Would all members of asian NATO be reliable allies? Plus India wants to keep options open in case Xi gets replaced by a better leader.

@mabo9636 Agree that Laos and Cambodia for now are Pres Xi proxies. And Thailand is trying to be neutral. But if Thailand were to join an asian block to contain Xi, I think Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, India and to a lesser degree Sri Lanka and Indonesia would join them.

 @VTh-f5x I am a huge fan of Japan and PM Shigeru Ishiba. Japan is a great force for good in the world. And is a core part of the global dharmic civilization and culture.

@Abhinav-m4o They are not "vassal states". This is communist party of china propaganda that Indians of all people should be able to see through. Agree with you that India is a friend of Russia. However, so is Pres Trump. And I would not be surprised if Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka all move closer to Russia soon, especially after the tragic Ukraine Russia war ends.
