  1. I live here in San Diego and I've been following this. Frankly it hasn't shocked me. I don't think anyone who sits on a city council position in any medium sized city or above honestly has a conscience or embraces anywhere near moral values in the way they see the world. So this doesn't shock me at all. Especially knowing that this is in LA. I'm very proud of these people to be keeping up the pressure. This is exactly what I was hoping would happen. I knew the local news were lying bastards when they lied the second day and said the crowd was much diminished and they went out of their way to emphasize that. I thought maybe I was reading too much into it but I don't think so, in thinking that they were trying to communicate to their viewership in a subtle way that these comments by these council members weren't so bad and that very few people were actually genuinely upset by them, and even if they were they didn't possess the determination or the focus to stick it through even past one day. And of course that's all bullshit. But looking back it seems pretty clear that's what the local news media coverage was trying to do when they made a point of stating several times that even the very second day after the incident blew up, that the public response was noticeably diminished from the previous day. It might have been temporarily diminished only because they opened up the street in front of the City council building to traffic again. So they couldn't accommodate as many people as the day before, when they were spilling out into the roadway. Anyhow, I'm relieved and deeply gratified to see these people keeping up the pressure. I don't know the ethnicity of the other five council members but given that the vast majority of people who find their way into the city council are scumbag human filth, it we would be wise to go over ALL of their previous communications over the past years with a fine-tooth comb. God knows what they've been saying behind the scenes. They probably feel real lucky right now as any damning information about them hasn't yet seen the light of day. But that can always change. I can only imagine what other explosive comments have been made that if they were to be released, would instantly spell the end of the careers of others as well. I just think City councils are trash anyways and shouldn't exist. But that's another discussion. Good for these protesters, good for LA, thank you Status Coup for following this. I will be continuing to follow the story. These counselors should be ashamed of themselves, there were disgraceful reflection on their own race, and they should never again be able to touch a public political seat. These are the REASONS why the black community is ALWAYS under attack. If it's not coming from the white devils it's coming from some of these Brown bastards. it's disgusting that people of color can't unite for each other's dignity and advancement. There's a coldness and a sociopathy and a hatefulness that in my perhaps limited experience (although one that I believe is representative), virtually all people who seek public office in this country have. This isn't the first time I've seen revolting and heartless attitudes from local so-called representatives. I don't believe I'm too cynical when I say in this case it's very much as above so below. Scumbags and sociopaths at the state level, at DC, and locally too. Politicos are not necessarily any different just because they might be located down the street from you. Anyway this disgraceful bitch and her wannabe Brown Nazi little buddy need to resign and disgrace and never be heard from again.

  2. At times like this people have to fight back or it just gets worse. If your answer is to do nothing well guess what, then nothing gets better. If you think people should just turn a blind eye to this shit then you're just asking for more problems down the road. The goal is not to solve every every problem in local or state governance with this one action, but it is to get two very hostile and destructive people out of the LA City council. That's at least one step in the right direction. Hopefully they don't stop there, it sounds like there's another few people on the council that need to get bounced out. There's never too much public involvement in oversight on these councils. City councils will never be people by people of conscience. I've never seen it. I mean this blonde woman interviewed is definitely a rarity. And currently she's not elected into any position. City council's in general are just a hive of human filth, occupied by sociopaths who enjoy selling out the poor and middle class citizens in their community to whoever comes along and that's how it always is. So until City councils are abolished and people don't have to be affected by the self-serving filth who occupy them and can manage themselves, the next best thing to do is to maximize public involvement and oversight of these corrupt and oppressive organizations.

They're like James Clyburn with a little less melanin. Sadly this isn't anything new though. Historically some of the lighter skinned Hispanic population has always chosen to act like this. They've literally adopted white racism. Frankly it's disgusting. It's the whole crabs in the barrel mentality. it's like when is this ever going to stop? Hey white people- don't ever think for one moment all minorities work together. Some people do, but then you get Brown Nazis like this who want to turn things into a racial hunger games. And of course, these are always the kinds of filth that want to seek public office and authority. Disgusting. You think in such a heavily diverse large city like LA, everybody by now would have come to appreciate diversity and it would be a better place on average to live for all, but unfortunately this isn't always the case. The other problem is that the kinds of people who run for public office in this country are almost always blazing sociopaths and proud of it. I think this is pretty clear by now. I have found that to be pretty standard regardless of the color of a particular person's skin. So then you constantly get situations like this. If it's not about racism and hatefulness, it's about something else, usually corrupt private deals that always always always fuck over and sell out the common person, or deliberately doubling down on funding for the Pigs one more than half in the community have made it clear that is not what they want that is not what they support. But I guess we're fated to constantly go through this so long as we continue to elect corrupt pieces of trash. To me this goes to the deeper issueof the flaws in a representative faux democracy like ours. The only people that seek and gain public office in the US are criminal pseudo-sociopaths and sociopaths. Until that changes, the ills in our society that we can see all around us or experience ourselves, will only continue to exacerbate. we either need to start electing angels, or do away with the corrupt representative system altogether and implement full direct democracy NOW.
