Quantum computing with great leaps of faith, that are not required of Newtonian physics grounded in experimental data that any individual can achieve, discourages the hands-on scientist or layman. The first thing I thought of was embedded semiconductors. This has the potential to change everything. I can imagine a chip which can receive a single charge, operates with very low loss, and uses capacitance to communicate to outside supporting systems. I can imagine such devices used for heart monitoring or other longer term medical use. This was a good presentation.

  2. This has extreme potential for the conventional computing industry. Small currents are perfect for smalll CPU’s, Memory, etc. Chips everywhere, with longer human embedded technology, since the human body maintains the temperature in a tight range.
