  5. Kyle Cotner, I think u are missing the point. No one disputes that CO2 concentrations are increasing. Instead the real questions that need to be answered with a high level of certainty are as follows: 1. Why are CO2 concentrations rising, or what is the root cause of this increase? 2. How much have human beings contributed to this increase? 3. What are the short and long term changes to the earth's climate? 4. How will this effect life on earth?

In other words if we don't know what natural climate change was like in the past, then how can we be sure that the changes we are seeing right now are not any different from the past???????????????? Now u might say "well the rate of change is the key indicator. Climate has never changed at such a rapid rate." But I want to ask, how do u know that? If we do not know with a high degree of certainty the frequency and degree of NATURAL CLIMATE CHANGE how then can we sure that these rapid changes are not largely due to natural cyclical phenomena? Furthermore, our most sophisticated weather models which include satellite images fail to predict weather forecast with a high level of accuracy beyond 5 days. But now we are expected to believe that we are able to predict climate, say 30 years from now, with absolute certainty?
