  1. AN ACT OF SUICIDE. There is nothing heroic about dying needlessly. Yes, these men were brave. Yes they were resisting the enemy. Yes they were defending their country. But in the end the enemy captured their position regardless of their willingness to resist. This is not heroism but suicide.
