So you would agree that everything should be done on a straight up/down vote?

So if someone is say a Republican and they live in a State like California, should they feel like their vote doesn't matter?
2
@anorman67 Then why would you live somewhere that puts you in that situation? Why not move to a state more aligned with your values?
2
@nickb2912 So if enough states voted to reinstate Slavery they could do it?
1
So give each state say two electors and not do it by population?
1
@anorman67 So how does their vote not count? Al Gore lost the 2000 Presidential race by 5 Electoral Votes. It sounds to me like even the smallest of states made a difference in that race so yes, every vote mattered.

@anorman67 And if you do away with The Electoral College, 4 States would decide a Presidential Race. How many states would it take in the Mid-West to make up the population of New York or California? But I guess it's OK with you for those states to not matter because they don't vote for the candidate YOU support anyway.

So everything should be a straight Up/Down vote?

@matthewsemrad1474 How do they have oversize power? The Electoral College votes are by population. That is why California has 54 votes and Wyoming has 3.

@enolopanr9820 So would you say we should use the popular vote for everything?
1
@lunaticfringe896 Why, because YOU disagree with him?
1
@lunaticfringe896 So anyone who doesn't agree with you is biased and stupid?
1
Why?
1
So you want to abolish The Constitution, or just the parts YOU don't like?
1
Why, or just because YOU say so?
