  1. He's right. Now here's a tangent he didn't mention. What kind of economic system produces innovation? It seems like the economic system that wants to make a buck for people rather than the dictator thing produced innovations. You don't see it out of Russia. You don't see it from Venezuela. You don't see it from North Korea. You see innovation from those countries that allow a free market economy. This innovation if properly channeled makes people's lives better.

  2.  @CPearl48  Right - China has a lot of innovation. It's a strange one as it has a dictator government placed over a lot of free market capitalism. Deng Xiaoping referred to it as capitalism with Chinese characteristics. That's why I didn't list it.
